27 week 4D pregnancy scan

I’m 27 weeks pregnant today and what better way to mark the occassion than experiencing a 4D scan of our baby girl, with my children and folks in tow. I extended our week-long stay in Leeds to 10 days as being home has so nourishing and fun allowing me to catch up with close family and friends, making for the optimal break before heading back to Berkshire for Monday when school and normality resumes.

I just hope my husband, Peter, can take over the nightly custard making ritual my daddy has gotten me accustomed to!

But back to the scan. Surreal, sweet and oh-so touching, I plumped for a package which supplied 5 photos and a video I emailed over to Peter back in Windsor afterwards. 4D scans certainly weren’t the norm when I was pregnant with my kids so it was extra special to experience seeing our little baby wriggling around again just as she has in the previous scans. this time her legs and arms were dancing around and resting on her face and even the sonographer commented on how energetic she was! That’s my girl!

Oliver, 11, enjoyed in awe and protective Xander, 8, was anxious the gel and scan might harm his Mama, enquiring on its safety at the start, which melted my heart!

I can see both my sweet sons in her delicate face and we simply can’t wait to meet her now. come on November!
